Easy automation for busy people. Here's the lowdown on our Zapier Integration.
What can Zapier do for me?
If you're wondering what Zapier can do for your app, here's the answer. It can create a seamless bridge between your app and another system. There is no complex development needed, it's all set up for you to easily configure it yourself.
We currently support the following Zaps:
The New User Zap (trigger)
Direct all of your members to Zapier so that all new members automatically get sent to Zapier as soon as they sign up for your app. Doing this allows you to add these members to your mailing lists, create a dedicated list of app users or customize your onboarding flow.
The New Post Zap (trigger)
Send all the posts made in your app to Zapier. This will allow you to apply additional moderation or store and analyse the posting in your app.
The New Comment Zap (trigger)
Send all the comments made in your app to Zapier. This will allow you to apply additional moderation or store and analyse the comments made in your app.
The Subscription Zap (trigger)
Send all the Subscription information from your app to Zapier. This will allow you to apply additional marketing or store and analyse the subscriptions in your app.
The Product purchased Zap (trigger)
Send all the Product purchased information from your app to Zapier. This will allow you to apply additional marketing or store and analyse the products purchased via your app.
The Invite User link Zap (action)
Create a customized invite link to your app based on actions from another medium. The mechanism is a simple as that. For example, you may have a marketing list or another system you use to store information, you can create a zap to create the invite code in your app's console.
The Create a Post Zap (action)
Create posts in the app from a Zap. Some hosts want to find a more efficient way of posting rather than doing it manually in the Console. If you post regularly or want to replicate a post, you can seamlessly build a Zap that will create a post to a group of your choice in your app.
Setting Up Zapier
We recommend Zapier as our preferred provider for connecting your Disciple app to other systems. Not only does this enable you to take information out of your app but also ensures you can control actions inside the app based on your preferences.
To get started, you will need a Zapier account. If you don't already have one, you can sign up here: https://zapier.com/sign-up/
When you've secured your account let us know and we will turn it on for you in the Console.
Setting Up the Zaps
Most of it is controlled on Zapier's side which you can find on your app dashboard: https://zapier.com/app/dashboard
To get up and running, you'll need to connect your Zapier account with Disciple. To do this simply let your Customer Success Manager know that you're intending to use the Zapier integration and they'll switch it on for you. Once confirmed, navigate to the Integrations tab on the Console, generate an API Key, and add it to Zapier.
Navigate to "My Apps" In Zapier, then select an "add a connection".
From here search for Disciple and you will see the following screen. Take the API key you retrieved from the console and away you go, it really is that easy.
