Creating articles in the CMS Advanced Settings

Use articles to show brilliant blogs, recipes, interviews, and long form reports in a mobile friendly format.

The first step is to check the view type of the folder you want to assign your articles to is set to article list. To do this, choose edit folder if it already exists, or scroll down to create a new one. Then make sure article list is ticked:

​Now, let's create the article. Hover over the assets tab at the top of the hub, then select articles.

​Go to the button that says new article.

Now it's time to put the words into the empty article. Parts marked with * are mandatory. Any other bits are optional. If you would like to format your article, use the quick links at the top of the content field by highlighting the text you want to change, and pressing the icon. You can make text bold, italic, a header, quoted, etc.

There are plenty of keyboard shortcuts you can use. They can be found by clicking on the ? icon. This will take you to the markdown guide below.

​Give credit to the author by adding their name, title and organisation to the byline. 

Add a picture or video as a cover for the top of your article. This will appear as a thumbnail next to the article title too. Please make sure you are using landscape images, as portrait ones will not show correctly.

If you would like to add an image inside of the actual article's text, place this code within the text:

We recommend using Imgur or ImgBB to host your images and generate a URL from. It should look like this:​

If you would like to make a telephone number hyperlinked, use this code: 


Make sure you add the international "+" country code to the part in the <brackets>, such as +44 for the UK or +1 for USA. It should look like this:

Now it's time to assign your article somewhere in the app. As you've already set your folder to article list, all you need to do is follow these steps:

Scroll to see a section called asset. Click the edit link.

​Here is where you select the folder you would like to use from the drop down menu. If you select a folder that hasn't been set to article list, your article will not appear in the app.

Finish the process by clicking update asset.​

​Close your app and reopen it to see the changes within your folder. Enjoy your article! 😎
