This simple plan will make it easy for any community host to plan their first 6 weeks of app content. This crucial period is the chance for you to get early adopters into the app and use high quality content to get them to stay.
✍Copy this text into your favorite word processor, or note-taking tool, then fill in the gaps. To help you understand how to use this content plan there is an example for a yoga community at the end of the plan.
To help you quickly produce content we have assembled as list of resources including sites to get images, stock video etc.
This page will help you find inspiration and ideas for content.
Six-Week Plan
Reminder (from a member perspective) of the purpose of the community:
Structure for Each Day of the Week:
Many hosts have a set pattern or structure to their app content, which means putting different types of content on different days of the week. This repetition not only makes it easier to create content but creates a feeling of ritual that improves the sense of belonging. The amount and length of the content depends on the purpose of the app. You may, as in our yoga example, have frequent, but short pieces of content. Or you may have longer content or a more defined approach if offering training or courses. You can also encourage member contributions with suggestions or contests, for example, share your favorite place to meditate, show us your best nature photograph, share your top out of the way places to eat in San Francisco.
