Zapier - Triggers and Actions

You're busy, we know. So here's a rundown on some of our most used Zapier Integrations.

What can Zapier do for me?

Zapper's a tool that can create a seamless bridge between your App and another platforms. There is no complex development needed, it's all set up for you to easily configure it yourself.

Simply select a Trigger, then define an Action and you're good to go. Here's what each of them do:

  • Triggers: The data comes from your Disciple app.
  • Actions: Controls an action for your Disicple app.

 

Here is a list of the currently available Triggers and Actions:

The Triggers:

  • New User (trigger):

    • This will trigger when a new user/member account is created in your Community. 
      • This is great to help you update a CRM with new data. 
  • User Updated (trigger):

    • This will trigger when a user/member updates any of their profile field data. This includes when they first sign-up to your Community. 
      • This is great to help you keep your member information in your CRM up to date. 
  • User Deleted (trigger):

    • This will trigger when an existing user/member account is deleted from your Community.
      • Great if you need to update your CRM data. 
  • Subscription Became Active (trigger):

    • This will trigger when an existing user/member purchases a new subscription.
      • Useful if you have automated emails set up through a third party platform based on a members subscription status. 
  • Subscription Became Expired (trigger):

    • This will trigger when an existing user/member's previously active subscription, becomes expired and does not renew. 
      • Useful if you have automated emails set up through a third party platform based on a members subscription status. 
  • Product Changed (trigger):

    • This will trigger when a users/members product changes and will send all the Product purchased information from your app to Zapier. 
      • This will allow you to apply additional marketing or store and analyse the products purchased via your app.
      • Products are non-recurring purchases. 
  • User Joined Group (trigger):

    • This will trigger when a user/member joins a Group that they were not already a part of. 
      • This is great if you want to automatically assign a badge to a user based on their Group status for example. 
  • User Left Group (trigger):

    • This will trigger when a user/member leaves a Group that they were a part of. 
      • This is great if you want to automatically un-assign a badge to a user based on their Group status for example. 
  • New Post (trigger):

    • This will trigger when a new Post is published in your Community.
      • You could use this to send Posts made in your Community to a third party platform, to store and analyse for example. 
  • New Comment (trigger):

    • This will trigger when a new Comment is published in a Post in your Community. 
      • You could use this to send Comments made in a Post in your Community to a third party platform, to store and analyse for example. 

 

The Actions:

  • Create Invite Link (action):

    • This action, will create a new Invite Link in your Community. 
      • For example, if you have a marketing list you use to store information, you can configure a Zap to create an invite code in your Community Console for that user/member.
  • Create User Subscription (action):

    • This action assigns the requested subscription to the user/member. 
      • For example, if a user/member purchases something external system, you can automate that trigger to lead to this action which would add a subscription to their Community account. 
  • Expire User Subscription (action):

    • This action will expire the requested subscription from the user/member. 
      • For example, if the trigger is that a user/member deletes their data from your third party platform, you can automate that trigger to lead to this action which would instantly expire their subscription to your Community. 
  • Create Subscription Preregistration (action):

    • This action will preregister a subscription for an email address to be assigned once the user/member registers with that same email address. 
      • This is great if a user/member signs up to your third party platform and you want to then automatically assign them a subscription when they create a new account in your Community using that same email address. 
  • Create Group Member (action):

    • This action will add the requested user/member to the specified Group as a new member. 
      • This will allow you to automatically enrol your user/member to the correct Group in a seamless manner. 
  • Remove Group Member (action):

    • This action will remove the requested user/member from the specified Group that they are already a part of. 
      • This will allow you to automatically remove your user/member from the specific Group in a seamless manner. 
  • Create Post (action):

    • This action will create a new Post in a specified Group in your Community.
      • This action is great if you regularly create posts in a third party platform and wish to replicate them in your Community. 
  • Add Badge to User (action):

    • This action will add a specified badge to the user/member. 
      • This is great if you want to automate user/member badges based on certain triggers, such as if a user/member is a part of a specific Group. 
  • Remove Badge From User (action):

    • This action will remove the requested badge from the user/member. 
      • This is great if you want to automate user/member badges based on certain triggers. for example, if the trigger is that a user/member leaves a Group, the action could be to remove a specific badge that they had bee assigned.
